It is with great sadness that we receive the news that long time Chorister Gwynfor Harris passed away in his sleep yesterday lunch time following complications from a number of medical conditions. Originally singing with the great Morriston Orpheus Choir, Gwyn joined Flint Male Voice Choir in the early ‘90’s giving nearly 30 years of dedicated service. Not only did he sing in both the First and Second Bass sections, he single handily took on the task of transcribing to disc the whole of the Choir’s Library, some 300 pieces, for all sections; a task that took the best part of 4 years to complete. In the words of Choir Mentor Mike Stenhouse ‘Gwyn was a delightful man that expected little praise but he deserved it in spades. As the Choir’s Mentor, I can tell you that I could not have done my job without those files’ Gwynfor will be sadly missed by all in the Choir, and our heartfelt condolences go out to Linda and the rest of the family at this saddest of times. RIP Gwyn
