Why Côr Meibion Y Fflint
Formed in 1975 we are a thriving choir with an excellent reputation and our concert calendar is full for almost 2 years in advance. We mostly sing in North East Wales with 1-2 weekend away trips a year and occasionally Internationally.
Pride
We take great pride in being part of the choir and have sung at some prestigious venues and events: we were the only choir chosen to be part of the Millennium Eve celebrations at The Dome. We have sang on the pitch several times in Stade de France in Paris, have sang at The Principality Stadium in Cardiff and in many appearances at The Royal Albert Hall. We have also appeared in Films, Documentaries, TV dramas and on radio.
We like to do our bit for the community.
We are a registered charity and help raise many thousands of pounds every year for good causes by bringing them the unique sound of a Welsh Male Voice Choir.
I’m not sure I will fit in!
We are an organisation of 40+ men mostly in their 50’s-70’s, semi-retired/retired men with time on their hands who enjoy getting out of the house a couple of nights each week. With a concert or event each month and rehearsals every Sunday and Wednesday at 19:15 – 21:15, you’ll soon be part of the family.
Don’t I need to be fluent in Welsh?
You don’t need to speak Welsh (most of us don’t) or even be Welsh. Our rehearsals also teach all the aspects of music and singing and therefore no experience is necessary.
